Bee diseases and pests

daveDave Atherton delivered an excellent lecture in November 2008 on bee diseases introducing the subject by vector size, ranging from the 6-400nm viral carriers through Bacteria, Fungi, Protozoa Mites, Flies Moths and Beetles to the largest disease carrier weighing in at approximately 12 stone (give or take a pound or two)- the beekeeper himself.
He has produced an excellent summary document which tabulates the significant diseases with vector, signs, identification methods, and treatments.
This is too
detailed to see on a computer screen, but you can download it onto your desktop as a Word Document for printing out. We'll make paper copies available to members on request.
