Plain Honey Cake Recipe
150g butter or margarine 100g light soft sugar 175g clear honey (your own of course) 15ml water 200gm self-raising flour 2 medium eggs
Grease & line a round cake tin 6-8 in (14-20 cm) Place the sugar, butter, honey & water into a pan and heat gently stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Sift the flour over and stirr in. Beat well with a wooden spoon to remove lumps Beat the eggs lightly and combine into the mixture evenly Turn the mixture inot the prepared tin Bake for 40 mins at 350F (180C) or Gas Mark 4 Cool slightly in the tin and turn out onto a wire cooling rack
